The Dual12 power supply can be used to replace two small AC plug-in power adaptors that comes with many audio equipment, routers, NAS etc, and provides significant improvement in sound quality.

The design is based on the experience gained with the TeddyCap family of power supplies for Naim Audio equipment, and uses the same technology.

In general, you’ll experience more clarity, tighter bass, more detail, better dynamics, natural voices, better soundstage etc.

The small power supply which is provided with most types of equipment is based on a technology called Switch Mode. Using this technology it is possible to create small, efficient, and low cost power supplies. Unfortunately due to their method of operation (high frequency capacitor charging), these power supplies are also very noisy, causing degradation in sound quality. As an alternative, several after market power supplies exist which are usually based on Linear Regulators. These regulators provides an improvement over the original power supply but as can be seen on the graph below are still limited in their performance.

The Dual power supply is based on a superior regulator called SuperTeddyReg and provides a significant improvement over linear regulators.

The following graph shows the noise level measurements of the original wall wart power supply (red line), an alternative power supply based on a Liner Regulator (blue line), and the Dual12 power supply (black line). The brown line is a zero Volt reference which is actually the measurement equipment internal noise. As can be seen the Dual12 power supply noise level is very close to the zero Volt reference.

The Dual12 power supply is equipped with two high quality cables made of silver plated PTFE insulated wires. The cable capacitance is around 13pF/ft, and its resistance is also very low, around 10 milliohm/ft.

"I want to thank you for the efficient delivery of my recent Dual12 PSU, which powering my Gigaswitch and Router has dramatically dropped the noise floor in my audio system and opened up the transparency. Your international delivery via Aus Post was better than two local suppliers of the switch and CAT6!"

"Dear Teddy, I thought you may be interested in an update regarding my two power supplies, now that they are fully settled in (UnitiServePS and Teddy12/2 for my Netgear netgear switch). I haven't compared and contrasted between the two. I just installed both and have run my system like that since. My system is all naim: UnitiServe/NDS/555PSDR/552DR/500. The benefits are clear. An obvious further reduction of noise in the system, previously unrecognised. A sense of penetrating deeper into my CD collection. More detail, more realism. A significant and good value upgrade. It has surprised me how important the quality of the computer network is to achieving the best sound quality with a streamer. it's also amazing how much detail is trapped in a CD that can be revealed with system improvements. A final point. I was very impressed with the quality of the two power supplies. The look, the feel, the packaging. A nice job. Thank you."

"Hello Teddy, My exaSound DAC is sounding great with the Teddy 12/2. I am really enjoying it.
